WordPress Websites for Service Businesses

A professional website should make your business easier to understand, trust and contact. I plan and build WordPress websites that present your services clearly, work properly across common screen sizes and give prospective clients a straightforward next step.

You work directly with me from the initial discussion through development, testing and launch, so there is no handoff between sales, design and an unknown developer.

For businesses that need a credible website built properly from the start

This service is a good fit if you are launching a service business, replacing a basic do-it-yourself site or creating a professional online presence for a business that has relied mainly on referrals and social media. It also suits established businesses whose current website no longer explains their services clearly or gives visitors enough confidence to enquire.

A complete build is not always necessary. If the current website is still suitable but has defined technical or layout problems, WordPress website fixes may be the better starting point. If the structure and design need a full rethink, see website redesign services. For a single campaign or offer, a focused landing page may be enough.

Business website projects start at US$1,500

The final price depends on the number and type of pages, the readiness of your content and branding, any forms or integrations, and the condition of an existing site if content or functionality needs to be migrated.

Before work begins, I provide a written scope covering the agreed pages, responsibilities, revision rounds, timeline and launch requirements. If the available budget does not match the full request, I can recommend a smaller first phase when that would still produce a useful website.

The project price covers the agreed website design and development scope. Domain registration, hosting, premium licences, stock assets, copywriting, branding, photography, video production and other paid third-party services are separate unless specifically included in the proposal.

A practical WordPress build shaped around your business

Every project is scoped individually, but the build normally covers the core work required to turn approved content and branding into a complete, usable website.

Page Structure and User Journey

I organise the agreed pages so visitors can understand what you do, find the information they need and reach the appropriate enquiry point.

WordPress and Elementor Development

I build the approved website in WordPress and Elementor using established features first and custom code only when it solves a clear requirement.

Responsive Implementation and Testing

I adapt and test the website across common desktop, tablet and mobile sizes, including navigation, forms and key interactive elements.

Launch-Ready Technical Foundation

I configure essential on-page structure, editable metadata, forms, performance considerations and the agreed analytics or Search Console setup before launch.

How it works

A clear process from scope to launch

The process keeps the project organised from the initial discussion through to launch. Most straightforward business websites take approximately two to four weeks once the required content, access and feedback are available.

01

Plan the website

We begin by confirming your goals, audience, required pages, functionality and timeline. I then define the project scope, responsibilities and deliverables so everything is clear before work begins.

02

Prepare the essentials

Before development begins, you provide the approved copy, logo, brand colours, suitable images and required website access. I organise the supplied content within the agreed page structure and flag anything that may be missing.

03

Build, review and test

I build the website in a staging or development environment and share progress at agreed points. Once the pages are ready, I gather your consolidated feedback and complete responsive, functional and pre-launch testing.

04

Launch and ongoing care

After approval, I launch the website and provide the agreed access and guidance for managing it. If you would prefer ongoing updates, backups and monitoring to be handled for you, you can continue with an optional WordPress website care plan.

FAQ's

Questions about business website projects.

How many pages will my business website need?

The right number depends on your services, audience and how much information a prospective client needs before contacting you. Many straightforward service-business websites begin with a homepage, About page, Services hub, individual service content and a Contact page, but the final sitemap is agreed before quoting.

Yes. I build in WordPress and Elementor so routine text and image changes can be managed without editing code. I also provide the agreed handover guidance, or you can use a monthly care plan if you prefer ongoing support.

The build includes a sound technical and on-page foundation, but no developer can guarantee rankings. Organic visibility also depends on the quality and depth of your content, competition, authority, backlinks and ongoing SEO work.

You normally provide the approved copy, logo, brand details, images, domain and hosting access, and feedback from one decision-maker. I confirm the exact requirements in the project scope so responsibilities are clear before the schedule begins.

No. Domain registration, hosting and paid third-party licences remain separate unless the written scope specifically includes them. I can recommend or configure suitable services, but purchases and renewals remain the client’s responsibility.

Possibly, depending on the requirement. WooCommerce, booking tools, CRM connections and other integrations need to be reviewed and scoped separately because they can materially affect the build, testing and ongoing maintenance.
